Jacob Joseph Staples Graduates From Marine Recruit Training

Private Jacob Joseph Staples graduated from the Marine Corps at Parris Island on November 20, 2009, after 13 weeks of mind and body-breaking training. He was surrounded by a multitude of family and friends who traveled far to support him. He had the highest rifle marksman score and is now a rifle expert. Private Staples, after a ten day leave, headed to North Carolina for Marine Corps Combat training. After 30 days of that, he will go to 29 Palms, California, for Military Occupational Specialty schooling for communications. Private Staples graduated from Berlin High School. His parents are Scott and Barbara Staples of Berlin.
