James Montemarano

East Nassau – James Michael Montemarano passed away at home on December 31, 2009, after suffering a heart attack.
Born in Troy, NY, on November 6, 1958, to the late Charles and Eileen Montemarano, he resided in East Nassau, NY, for the past 14 years with his loving companion, Geralyn Schmidt.
He leaves a son, James Wilkins, and a grandson, in Pittsfield, MA, a brother, Michael, in Germany, five sisters, Sharon Thomas of Nassau, NY, Bonnie Brewer of Canaan, NY, Jody Brewer of Lebanon Springs, NY, Colleen McEwan of Coeymans, NY, and Toni York of Windsor, MA. He was pre-deceased by a brother, Jeff, in 2007.
Jim worked for many local contractors. He enjoyed reading, fishing and being “Uncle Jimmy” to his 14 nieces and nephews. Jim will be missed by his many friends, including his good friend Glen Therrien of North Adams, MA.
The Hall & Higgins Funeral Home in Stephentown, NY, is in charge of arrangements. A memorial will be at a later date.
