M. Patricia O’Dell

Berlin – M. Patricia O’Dell of Brookside Park, Berlin, NY, went to be with her Lord and Saviour on Saturday, January 23, 2010, at the age of 78.
Born August 17, 1931, in Brooklyn, NY, she was the daughter of the late James F. and Mildred Loon Hyman. On November 24, 1949, she married John O’Dell, and together they raised four children. She was educated in Brooklyn schools. Pat had worked for Taconic Telephone and retired from W.J. Cowee, Co., Inc after 30 years of service. She was pre-deceased by a son, John Michael O’Dell, who died on August 28, 1996.
Survivors include her husband John, her children, James Robert O’Dell of Northfield, VT, and Anita O’Dell and Karol Salvi both of Berlin, her grandchildren, Jessica Crowe, Jay Jones of Berlin, Kayla Denue of Cropseyville, NY, Jenna Grover of Berlin, James O’Dell II of Northfield, VT, and Salina O’Dell of Barre, VT, along with four great-grandchildren. Her family and loved ones were her life. She devoted her life to them right up to the very end.
Funeral services are on Thursday evening, January 28, at 7 pm in the First Baptist Church of Berlin, Main Street. Relatives and friends are invited for visitation at the Church starting at 5 pm on Thursday. Springtime burial will be held in the Berlin Baptist Cemetery. Arrangements are under the direction of the Thomas M. Barber Funeral Home of Petersburgh, NY.
