Relic Hunter Matt Carr displayed some of his finds at the Stephentown Heritage Center Monday evening following his talk on Saving History Through Metal Detecting. Found over a ten year period in the Stephentown and New Lebanon area with the aid of his metal detector, the historical artifacts include coins, buttons, buckles, spoons and forks, thimbles, hair pins, hotel key tags, bullets and locks and keys. Some of the more interesting items were found in the vicinity of the old Columbia Hall hotel in Lebanon Springs, a grand 400-room resort that attracted celebrities from far and wide, including the Marquis de Lafayette in 1825.
