January 29, 2010 By eastwickpress

On Thursday, January 21, the Hoosick Falls bowling team beat Luzerne by the score of 4-0. This was their last regular league match of the season giving them a record of 49-7. The victory means that the Panthers are the Southern Division champion of the Adirondack League and will bowl Fort Edward on Thursday, February 4, at Hi-Roc Lanes in Saratoga starting at 4 pm for the overall championship of the league.
Luzerne finished with a record of 28-32 and their high bowler was Matt Baran with a 236-676. Top bowlers for Hoosick Falls were Joe Wolfrum 279-727, Chris Pelletier 214-623, Peter O’Neil 222-618, Patrick Mulvihill 213-613 and Jake Colliano 195-580. Other great scores were Mikaela Marbot 245-673, James Lynch 224-628, Mitchell Andrew 237-623, Josh Conn 226-598, Jordan Colvin 204-591, Nick Jones 225-573 and Cody LaFlamme 203-537. Josh Reveal had a nice 210 game.
“This was a good way to end the regular season with a great team effort with a lot of good scores by most of the team members. We now need to have a good week of practice before we have the League Tournament on Tuesday, February 2, at Broadway Lanes, the League Championship Match on Thursday, February 4, and Sectionals on Monday, February 8, at Boulevard Lanes in Schenectady. The team has worked hard all season, and we have really come together as team with most of the team members improving their average from the beginning of the season,” said Coach Lang.
