Grace Christian School students from fifth to eighth grade recently travelled to Quechee, Vermont’s Mid-Vermont Christian School, to participate in the Association of Christian School (ACSI) District Spelling Bee against students from Vermont, New Hampshire and Massachusetts. Participants from GCS included fifth-graders Veronica Bisson, Gage Prouty and alternate Cindy Stearns; sixth-graders Emily Jones, Amara Rogers-Armstrong and alternate Brendan Foery; seventh-graders Patrick Billings and Isaac Shepard and eighth-graders Schyler Haita and Sean Brundage.
Schyler Haita won first place for both the eighth grade and overall competition and will move on to the Regional Bee in Lancaster, PA, in February. Sean Brundage placed fourth overall and second for eighth grade. Amara Rogers-Armstrong placed third for the sixth grade. Veronica Bisson placed fourth for fifth grade. Congratulations!
