Berlin/New Lebanon Wrestlers Struggle At Mountie Invite

February 5, 2010 By eastwickpress

by Ryan Mosher
In their second Mt. Greylock tournament of the year on Saturday, January 30, the Berlin/New Lebanon wrestling team struggled to get going. While the first tournament was a duals tournament, this one was an individual, double elimination tournament. Held at the Massachusetts College of Liberal Arts in North Adams, the tournament brought in twenty-two teams from New York, Massachusetts, Vermont and Rhode Island.
The Mountaineer/Tiger wrestlers faced some top wrestlers throughout the day.

Unfortunately Tim Chaudoin was the only member of the team with results to show for it. After a loss in his first match, Chaudoin was almost pinned in his second match, but he kicked out of the hold and then immediately pinned his opponent before one full minute had ticked off the clock. He finished the day with a 1-2 record.
The Mountaineers now are focusing on this upcoming weekends Class D Sectionals at Whitehall on Saturday.
