Lillian G. Robinson

Petersburgh/Bennington – Mrs. Lillian G. Robinson, a resident of Park Street in Bennington, VT, died peacefully on February 19, 2010, at Delray Medical Center in Florida where she had been visiting family. Mrs. Robinson was born in Petersburgh, NY, on November 8, 1934. She was the daughter of the late Leo and Beatrice (Brenenstuhl) Maxon. She grew up in North Bennington, VT,  and attended school there also. She was married to Albert (Bud) K. Robinson Jr. on August 31, 1962. Mr. Robinson died on October 25, 1998. For many years they had made their home in North Bennington prior to moving to Shaftsbury, VT, where she had lived until recent years.
Mrs. Robinson was a member of the North Bennington Baptist Church and Disabled American Veterans Auxiliary of Bennington. She had worked for Joseph Nadeau and the National Hanger Company, both in North Bennington.  One of her greatest pleasures was spending time with her family and grandchildren. She also enjoyed doing needle work and researching family genealogy.
Mrs. Robinson is survived by a son, Kenneth Robinson and his wife Gail of Shaftsbury and their children Rebecca and Matthew, a daughter, Karen Salmon and husband Carl of Bennington and their children Kerrie Kelly and Jacob Salmon, a daughter, Jo Ann Appel and husband Michael of Bennington and their children Stephen, Kelsey and Ryan, a  brother, Robert Maxon of Grand Forkes, ND, and a sister, Marie Hadwen of Charlotte and Fort Myers, FL, as well as several nieces, nephews and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, she is pre-deceased by a sister, Catherina Morin.
Funeral services were held on Thursday, February 25, at 11 am at the North Bennington Baptist Church with Reverend David Jinno, pastor, officiating.  A private burial will follow at the family’s convenience in the family lot in Center Shaftsbury Cemetery. Friends called on Wednesday from 6 to 8 pm at the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home in Bennington when the family will be present.
In lieu of flowers, memorial gifts in memory of Mrs. Robinson may be made to either the North Bennington Baptist Church or the Susan B. Komen Breast Cancer Foundation in care of the Hanson-Walbridge Funeral Home, 213 West Main Street, Bennington, VT, 05201.
