New Lebanon READ – February Poster

February 26, 2010 By eastwickpress

Appearing on the February poster for the New Lebanon READ poster campaign is Eloise Trainor reading from her favorite book, what else, Eloise by Kay Thompson and illustrated by Hilary Knight.
Trainor, a life long resident of New Lebanon, graduated from NLCS in, well sometime in the Beatles era. She has been a member of the Library since 2000 when she returned from a career in golf. She also was the co-driving force behind the Triple Nickel Café.
Eloise is a favorite book because she is partial to the name. Trainor is also partial to books by Anne Perry, a pile of which also appear in the poster, because she loves mysteries, has read all of her books and, in a once in a life time experience, the author visited the Triple Nickel for a book promotion.
NL READ, which is inspired by the American Library Association READ program, promotes reading and the use of library services through a poster campaign that features local citizens with their favorite books. The campaign started in June and will continue into mid-2010. Jane Feldman, an award wining photojournalist, photographed the subjects for the poster campaign.
