Route 22/7 Gas Station Opening Soon

Work has been underway for the last several weeks at the former Mobil station at the intersection of Routes 7 and 22 in Hoosick. On Tuesday a new lighted Sunoco sign was in place. The price for regular gas has been set, but not the price for diesel. The message area at the bottom of the sign, which is continually changing, states that the station/store is opening soon with Sunoco gas, convenience shopping and Price Chopper loyalty. Dunkin Donuts is still in operation, but on Wednesday the shelves and cases in the rest of the building remained empty. Efforts to reach the new owners were not successful. (Bea Peterson photo)
