Benefit For Alinda Shank

March 19, 2010 By eastwickpress

Alinda Shank, the daughter of Don and Mary French of Berlin, was recently diagnosed with brain cancer. The costs of treating this disease are huge even with insurance.
Alinda has worked for the Berkshire Eagle for about 25 years, and the newspaper is sponsoring a benefit for her to raise money for her medical treatment. It will be held on Saturday, April 3, from 2 to 6 pm at the Dalton American Legion, 258 North Street in Dalton, MA. There will be food, live music and raffles. Tickets are $25, and they can be purchased from the Berkshire Eagle customer service desk, weekdays 8:30 am to 4 pm or at the door. All proceeds will be used to pay for Alinda’s fight against cancer. For more information, call 413-464-5072.
Alinda was raised in Berlin, and is a graduate of the Berlin Central Schools.
