Carol Walter

Buskirk – Carol (Scaglione) Walter, 59, died peacefully on Monday, March 8, 2010, at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. She had resided on King Road in Buskirk, NY, with her husband Martin Walter.
Born on July 24, 1950, in Cambridge, NY, Carol was the daughter of Inez (Lockrow) Scaglione of Buskirk and the late Frank J. Scaglione. She graduated from Cambridge Central School and received a B.A. degree from Daemon College in Buffalo, NY. Carol worked at the Cambridge Central School as a teacher’s assistant. She was a communicant of St. Patrick’s Church in Cambridge, NY. Carol enjoyed reading and watching old movies, and she loved family gatherings for the holidays. Carol had a very upbeat personality and, despite her disabilities, always had a ready smile. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
Survivors other than her husband, Martin, and mother, Inez, include two brothers, Joe Scaglione of Cohoes, NY, and Jim Scaglione and Geoff Morse of East Greenbush, NY, and a brother in-law, Noel Walter and his wife Kathleen of South Carolina.
Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Mass of Christian Burial to be offered on Friday, March 12, at 11 am from St. Patrick’s Church on South Park Street in Cambridge. Burial will follow the Mass at St. Patrick’s Cemetery in Cambridge. There will be no calling hours.
Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, 12090. Memorial contributions may be made to the Humane Society of the US through the funeral home.
