On Saturday, March 13, the Stephentown Volunteer Fire Dept. served 295 corned beef dinners at their 12th annual event. The Department would like to thank everyone who helped to make it a success including Susie Cooper, Karen Fairs, Dave’s Market, the Eastwick Press and the local girl scouts who came out to sell cookies. Special thanks to the Berlin Fire Department who helped with the dinner while our
members attended the funeral services for Fire Commissioner and 60 year department member Si Close. Upcoming SVFD events include the annual Mother’s Day Breakfast on May 9 and the annual Roast Beef Dinner on Saturday April 17. Anyone interested in joining the Department is encouraged to stop by the fire station on Tuesday nights between 7:30 and 8:30 pm.
