Doris G. Kipp

Hoosick Falls – Doris G. (Cipperly) Kipp, 89, passed away on Wednesday, March 17, 2010, at the Hoosick Falls Health Center in Hoosick Falls, NY, where she had resided since July 2009. Doris formerly resided on Breese Hollow Road in Hoosick, NY, and was the wife of the late Earl W. Kipp Sr., who died in 1997.
Born on January 17, 1921, in Hoosick, Doris was the daughter of the late Harry and Louise (Webster) Cipperly. She was educated at schools in the Town of Hoosick and was a homemaker all of her life. Doris enjoyed gardening and spending time at home and was a member of All Saints Church in Hoosick.
Survivors include her sons, Paul Kipp of Stamford, VT, and Earl W. Kipp Jr. of Bennington, VT, her sisters, Vera of Breese Hollow and Betty of Pine Valley Road, Hoosick, her brothers, William of Breese Hollow and Robert of Eagle Mills, NY. She is also survived by four grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Doris is pre-deceased by four sisters, Blanch Cipperly, Ethel Sharon, Helen Cloke and Eleanor Lohnes, and five brothers, George, Dean, Waldo, Frank and Paul Cipperly.
Funeral services are Friday, March 19, at 1 pm from All Saints Episcopal Church in Hoosick. Burial will follow the service at the Hoosick Rural Cemetery. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the care of the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Hoosick Falls Health Center or All Saints Church through the funeral home.
