Herbert Little

Hoosick Falls – Herbert Edward Little passed away on Monday, March 8, 2010, surrounded by his family at his residence on Saratoga Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, which he shared with his wife of 54 years, Lauraine Duby Little.
Born on August 14, 1933, in North Pownal, VT, he was the son of an English immigrant, Herbert A. Little, and a Pownal resident, Blanche Mae Kenyon. After being educated in public schools in Massachusetts, he served in the United States Air Force until 1955. Shortly after leaving the Air Force Herb met and married Lauraine Noella Duby. For most of his adult life he was employed by the IBM Company in the Hudson Valley of New York. He retired with his wife to the Hoosick Falls area in 1987.
Herb’s survivors include his wife Lauraine, two daughters, Marcia A. Yates of Cary, NC, and Monica L. Hahn and husband Tim of Roanoke, VA, and a son, H. Mark Little of Needham Heights, MA. Seven grandchildren and two great-grandchildren also survive him. Herb is pre-deceased by a sister, (Mary) Edith Cooper, and brothers, John Patrick Little and (Arnold) Bud Little.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, March 13, from 9:30 to 11:30 am at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street, Hoosick Falls, NY. Donations may be made to the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund.
