June E. Minkley

Pittsfield – June E. Minkley passed away at age 74 on February 28, 2010, at the Mt. Greylock Extended Care Facility in Pittsfield, MA,with her daughter and grand daughter at her side.
Born in Pittsfield in 1935, she was the daughter of the late Lawrence and Edith Minkley of Springfield, MA. She was a 1952 graduate of Pittsfield High School and worked at The Berkshire Eagle and M & W Heating for many years.
She leaves her four children, William A. Chapman of Snohomish, WA, Deborah L. Tyska of Hinsdale, MA, Gary G. Chapman of Pittsfield and Laurie J. Briggs of West Lebanon, NY, and their families. A devoted and loving grandmother, she leaves 11 grandchildren and 18 great-grandchildren. She leaves her only sibling and much loved sister, Janet Hoag and her husband Paul of Windsor, MA. She also leaves her three nephews, Mark, Dale and Keith Hoag, along with three great-nephews and six great-nieces.
She enjoyed the outdoors, all sports and, most of all, spending time with her large family.
A service was held at Hall & Higgins Funeral Home at 457 Route 43, Stephentown, NY, on Tuesday, March 2, at 1 pm.
