Megan McEachron Named Hoosick Falls High School Salutatorian

Megan McEachron, daughter of Rick and Holly McEachron of Hoosick Falls, is the class of 2010 Salutatorian.  Megan, whose GPA is 94.53, will receive a New York State Advanced Regents Diploma with Honors designation. Megan has been on the varsity soccer team at HFCS for the past four years and was a captain this year.  She helped coach the modified girls basketball teams this winter and will be playing

on the newly formed lacrosse team this spring.  Megan has been a yearbook staff member for four years and the editor since her sophomore year. She has been in Key Club, of which she is now the President, and Student Council since freshmen year.  She was inducted into the National Honor Society as a sophomore and is President this year.  Megan writes for the school newspaper, Panther Post, and helps with costuming and makeup for the drama productions. Megan is an avid horseback rider, snowboarder and plays club soccer year round. In her junior year she was awarded the prestigious University of Rochester George Eastman Young Leaders Award.  Megan will be attending the University of Rochester in the fall of 2010, where she will study biology and be part of the soccer team.  Congratulation Megan!
