Open House At The Youth Center

The Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3) is hosting a three-day Open House celebration this weekend, March 26-28. Activities kick off on Friday evening with a Family Movie Night, featuring the Center’s new projection screen and sound system.
“Where the Wild Things Are” will begin at 7 pm. Free popcorn (thanks to Hoosick True Value) and beverages will be provided. There is seating, but children are welcome to wear pajamas and bring sleeping bags, pillows and/or blankets to watch from the floor. The movie is approximately 1 hour and 40 minutes long. Admission is free. Donations of non-perishable food items or personal hygiene products for the Food Pantry are welcome and will be collected at the door.
• Art Workshop – on Saturday, March 27, join Executive Director Aelish Nealon from 10-11 am for an art workshop designed for all ages.
• Comedy Night – The second annual Comedy Night to benefit HAYC3 and its programs will be held on Saturday, March 27, at the Youth Center. Call 518-686-9050 to reserve tickets.
• Mixed-Up Basketball – on Sunday from 1:30-4:30 pm..
