On Friday, April 9, family, friends and members of The Pioneer Fish and Game Club supplied the needed manpower to stock the Walloomsac River. A special truck from the NYS Department of Environmental Conservation arrived in North Hoosick around 11 am with 4,000 brown trout. All of the fish were introduced to the river at various locations between the Hoosic River and the Vermont border. Representatives from Trout Unlimited were also on hand to oversee the operation.

Special thanks to the landowners along the river who allow public access to the river, which is required to receive the fish from NY State.
