Fund Raiser For Kianna

There will be a fund raiser lasagne dinner for Katarina Walters on Friday, May 7, from 6 to 8 pm at the Petersburgh Veterans Memorial Community Center. Proceeds from this dinner will assist Katarina in living expenses as she stays near her daughter Kianna Walters McCaughin. Kianna was born in October with VACTERL Association. She has multiple birth defects and other than two very brief stints at home she has spent her entire 6 months in Albany Medical Center. She has had multiple surgeries and is looking at an even  longer road ahead. At this point, arrangements are being made to transfer her to Boston’s Children Hospital. Despite all she has been through Kianna is all smiles, especially for her mommy. Visit Kianna’s story at caringbridge.org/visit/kiannamccaughin.
The cost of the tickets for the dinner is $10 for adults, $6 for children under 10 and free for children under 3. They being sold in advance and are available through Kristy Lemiska 658-0359 (lemiskas@aol.com), Walter Walters, Papa’s Pizza on Main Street in Petersburgh and Hewitt’s Market on Elm Street in Berlin.
There will a Chinese auction as well. Early sale of tickets for 100 gallons of fuel oil from Eagle Energy and a cord of firewood (cut to order) from Charlie Saunders are also available. Donations to the Chinese auction or other offers to assist would be greatly appreciated.
Pink Hair Extensions
In addition, Amy Reger will applying pink hair extensions from now until the dinner in honor of Baby Kianna and her family.  Extensions are $10 each and all the money collected will go to them.  Contact Hair or There  for details at 518-279-0565.
