Grafton Senior Center Gets 50 Inch TV On Hat Day

Rensselaer County’s Everett Wagar Senior Center held a ribbon cutting event on Hat Day, March 31. The seniors at the Center have been trying to get a television for the last few years. That dream was fulfilled recently with a 50″ flat screen television, thanks to the generosity of many people.
Wednesday was also Hat Day, and we enjoyed full participation from our crafty seniors and winners were selected from the many homemade and unique hats. The winners were Simon Stoler, Beulah Baker, Mason Hubbard, Frank Burt, Walt

In this picture taken during the ribbon cutting event are (l to r) Joseph Cybulski, Commissioner of the County Unified Family Services Department which icludes the Aging Department, Jean Zoesman from Maxima Electric, which donated services to do the electrical work and install the television, Judy Randolph from Senior Whole Health Insurance Company, which made a monetary donation, Dennis McGurn, who donated a DVD player and a VCR, and Marcia Trask, President of the Grafton Seniors. Missing from the picture are Asa Zoesman, from Maxima Electric, Harold Goyer, who crafted and donated the cabinet, Bruce Withtaker, who donated the electrical inspection, and Tom Hutton, from Blue Cross - Medi Blue Insurance which donated a Wii.
