Robert F. Martinoli

Pittstown – Robert F. Martinoli, 75, passed away, after a brief illness, on Friday, April 16, 2010, at the Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. He had resided on the Johnsonville Road in Pittstown, NY, with his wife Rita (Luskin) Martinoli.
Born on October 24, 1934, in New York City, Robert was the son of the late Silvio and Josephine (Mancini) Martinoli. He was raised in Williamstown and North Adams, MA. He attended schools in North Adams. Robert worked in the construction trade for sixty-five years, building homes and bridges. He owned his own general contracting business, M&M General Contracting. Robert also had his own concrete division and was self-employed for many years.
Robert was involved with the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts for over twenty years. He was the Scout Master for Troop # 537 for ten years. He was a life member of the Pittstown Volunteer Fire Department and a member of the Brunswick Elks Lodge # 2556 for twenty years, where he had served as Exulted Ruler. He was a member of the Holy Name Episcopal Church in Boyntonville, NY, where he served as a Trustee for ten years.
Survivors, other than his wife Rita, include his son, Robert C. Martinoli and wife Donna of Pittstown, a granddaughter, Renee Lynn Martinoli, two brothers, James Martinoli of North Andover, MA, and William Martinoli of Kansas, as well as many nieces, nephews and cousins.
Funeral services were Thursday, April 22, at 10:15 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY, and at 11 am from the Holy Name Episcopal Church in Boyntonville. Burial followed the service at Hoosick Rural Cemetery, Hoosick, NY.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Wednesday from 4 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Pittstown Fire Department or the Holy Name Episcopal Church through the funeral home.
