Author and animal advocate Elise Lufkin will discuss her new book, To the Rescue: Found Dogs With a Mission, on Thursday, June 3, at 7 pm at the New Lebanon Library. A book signing and reception will follow the discussion. Special guests will include Cydney Cross, founder of Out of the Pits, and therapy dog Grace, who is featured in the book. Illustrated with photographs by Diana Walker, To the Rescue tells the story of people who give their rescued dogs much more than just a good home – they train them to be certified service animals.
