Anna Grennan

Hoosick Falls – Anna Grennan, 94, a life-long resident of Hoosick Falls, NY, passed away, April 28, 2010. She was the widow of  William M. Grennan, who died in January 1993. She was the daughter of  Frank and Anna Milwitz Zilinskas and was a lifelong communicant of the  Church of the Immaculate Conception. Mrs. Grennan attended St. Mary’s Academy and was a member of St. Mary’s Auxiliary and the Catholic Daughters of America. At one time she worked for the Specialty Mfg. Company and retired from Holman Mfg. Corp. where she worked for 28 years.
Mrs. Grennan was pre-deceased by two sisters, Mary and Veronica, and five brothers, Anthony, Charles, Peter, Stephen and Bernard.
Mrs. Grennan is survived by a son, William and wife Patricia of Hoosick Falls, a daughter, Anne Marie and husband Edward Donovan of Sarasota, FL, grandchildren, Kristen Wyman and Kelli Grennan of Hoosick Falls, Sheila O’Sullivan of Albany, NY, and James Donovan of Simpsonville, KY, four great-grandchildren, Brendan and Kerry O’Sullivan, Haley Donovan and Payton Dailey, one cousin and several nephews.
Funeral services were Monday, May 3, at 9:15 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main St. Hoosick Falls. A Mass of  Christian Burial was offered at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Sunday, May 2, from 5 to 7 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Mary’s Academy or the Town of Hoosick Rescue Squad through the funeral home.
