Got More Books?

May 21, 2010 By eastwickpress

Due to the overwhelming success of the book drive last year, the Hoosick Falls Girl Scout Troops are holding another one this year. Your gently used books would be greatly appreciated to make this one a success as well! We are looking for reading books in the kindergarten to sixth grade reading levels. Not sure if the book is age appropriate? No problem – drop your book in the bin, and we’ll decide.
Have your kids gone to college and you still have their books from elementary school? Want to clean out your bookcase and fill ours? If so, please help us to help our kids. You can drop off any donations in our book bin, located at the Cheney Library on Classic Street in Hoosick Falls. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Joyce Brewer at 686-4942.
We will be collecting all books until May 24 so be sure to get them to the library soon.
This year the Girl Scouts will be donating all profits to the Cheney Library.
So many kids participated in our book swap last year – it was great to see the looks on their faces when they got a “new” book. Your generous donations helped to make this possible. Not only do our Hoosick Falls Girl Scouts appreciate your donation, the kids of our community do too.
