Grafton Elementary School raised $1,146.50 for the St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital. During the monthly Character Education Assembly on Monday May 3, twenty-three students were recognized for their participation in the St. Jude’s Math-a-Thon. Participating students were given T-shirts and tickets to Six Flags Amusement Park. The top prize winner was Riley Price from third grade. Riley was awarded an extra prize for his efforts. The Grafton Elementary school has been raising money for St. Jude’s since 1996. Overall the school has raised a total of $34,000. The school wishes to thank Mrs. Patrice Nash for her many efforts coordinating this worthy cause.
