Jane Dugan

Hoosick Falls – Jane Dugan passed away peacefully on May 12, 2010. Jane was born on October 8, 1943, to Frank and Peg Mulvihill in Cambridge, NY. She attended Hoosick Falls Center Street School and graduated from St. Mary’s Academy in 1961. She received an Associate Degree from Southern Vermont College in 1991. Jane worked for twenty-five years for Oak Industries in Hoosick Falls and Furon in North Bennington, VT. She had just retired from a teaching assistant position from Questar III. She was very fond of her students and the staff she worked with.
Jane is pre-deceased by her husband, Joseph J. Dugan, who passed away in May 2009. She is also predeceased by a brother and sister-in-law, Frank and Jean Mulvihill.
Jane is survived by four children and their spouses, Frank and Kersten Morandi of Meridian, ID, Bill Morandi of Winter Park, FL, Patrick Morandi of Meridian and Alice and John Vandecaveye of Lambertville, MI. Jane loved being with her grandchildren, Caelan, Abby, Emily and Matt Morandi and Connor and Alyssa Vandecaveye. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Jane loved to travel with friends, many of whom were classmates from St. Mary’s Academy. Jane especially loved going to New York City, seeing Broadway shows and experiencing the restaurants of New York.
Funeral services were Monday, May 17, at 9:15 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. A Mass of Christian Burial was offered at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street. Burial followed the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls.
Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Sunday from 4 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to either St. Mary’s Academy, the Karen McGovern Memorial Fund or the Multiple Sclerosis Society through the funeral home.
