Rev. Dr. Thomas Azar To Speak At HACA Volunteer Brunch

The keynote speaker for the 2010 HACA Volunteer Appreciation Brunch will be Rev. Dr. Thomas Azar, Interim Pastor at First Baptist Church, Hoosick Falls. Rev. Azar grew up in New York City where he attended Hunter College. Following a powerful spiritual rebirth experience he attended Chandler School of Theology, receiving a Masters Degree in 1982 and a Doctor of Ministry in 1986 from Emory University in Georgia. In 1998 he completed an MA in Journalism from Marquette University in Wisconsin.
An American Baptist pastor, he worked as a police, hospital and military chaplain, a paramedic, a counselor, an educator and seminar leader on four continents for over 35 years. He is a published author of numerous books and articles. He recently retired from the US Air Force with 23 years of service.
The Brunch will be held on Saturday, May 15, at First United Presbyterian Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Reservations can be made by calling 686-5310 no later than Friday.
