submitted by Megan Myers
Saige Iris Myers, daughter of Zachary Patrick and Megan Phyfe Myers, turned one year old on Wednesday, May 26. In light of memorial weekend and her first birthday, she visited her great, great, great, great, great, great (6) grandfather John LeBarron, Junior’s headstone where he is buried at the River Road Cemetery in the Village of Hoosick Falls. John LeBarron, Junior was born about 1750 and married Repentance Lucas in 1772. He then became a private of the Massachusetts Militia for the Revolutionary War. As a survivor of American Revolution, John Junior lived the last twenty-five years of his life as a widower before his death in 1836. Saige’s great, great, great, great, great (5) grandfather, John Junior’s son, Abizor LeBarron, is also buried in this cemetery. Saige Iris is the ninth generation of family to be happily residing within the Rensselaer County area of New York State.
