Seventeen Confirmed At Immaculate Conception Church

May 14, 2010 By eastwickpress

submitted by Beth Ferrannini
On May 7 the Reverend Bishop Howard Hubbard bestowed the sacrament of Confirmation on 17 young  men and women at the Immaculate Conception Church in Hoosick Falls. Fr. James Clark, former pastor of  ICC and Fr. Barker the current priest covering the parish, concelebrated with Bishop Howard Hubbard. During their preparation these young people did several service projects for the community. Their largest endeavor was hosting a community Thanksgiving Dinner on Thanksgiving Day, which was a tremendous success.
The Celebration of Confirmation continued with a spaghetti dinner in the Church Hall

prepared by the  Hoosick Falls Council of the Knights of Columbus and hosted by the tenth grade faith formation class. Over 150 family members and parishioners attended.
This was truly a parish event with several parishioners assisting in countless ways, decorating the Church and the reception hall, cooking, and praying for these young people as they were preparing for the Sacrament. But mostly by attending the Mass in support of the confirmandi and welcoming them fully into the Catholic Church.  Congratulations to Michael Brewster, David Ciuk, Ryan Hand, Brett Hanselman, Joshua Harrison,  John Kaufmann, John Lancour, William Luke, James Lynch, Colleen Maloney, Clarissa Mango, Lawrence Mango Jr., Sara Marchegiani, Nathan Piche, Amelia Reynolds, Alyssa Scheinderand and Samantha Skott.
