Western Festival & Championship Rodeo

The  Schaghticoke Fairgrounds is proud to present a Western Festival and Championship Rodeo on Saturday, June 5. Gates will open at 3 pm for a country dance party and line dance lessons hosted by WGNA’s own Kevin Richards. The Championship Rodeo, produced by Painted Pony, will begin at 7 pm. The rodeo events include Bareback, Steer Wrestling, Team Roping, Saddle Bronc, Tie-Down Roping, Ladies Barrel Racing and Bull Riding. This is fun for the whole family. Activities for the kids include a bouncy-bounce and pony rides. The Back40Band will be performing from 8 to 11 pm. Hender’son’s Bar and Grill will be on hand providing refreshments. Enjoy a delicious chicken BBQ dinner. Vendors include food, clothing, merchandise and more. Tickets cost $12 for an adult 18 and older, $7 for kids 6 and older and free for kids 5 and under. Partial proceeds of pre-sales tickets will go to benefit Rensselaer County 4-H programs. Premier sponsors of this event are Gallivan Corporation, SM Gallivan, LLC, Wiley Bros., Inc. and Abele Tractor and Equipment.
