Connor McCart, age 12, of Hoosick Falls has won the Sectional Hit, Pitch & Run contest held in East Greenbush. By winning the sectional with an overall score of 1,155 he qualifies to compete against eight other sections within New Jersey and New York State. Out of the eight sections Connor and two others have qualified to compete at the Team Championship being held at Yankee Stadium on June 19. Connor is a sixth grade student at Hoosick Falls Central School and plays for the Man of Kent in the Town of Hoosick Baseball League.
