H. Stewart Robertson III

New Lebanon – H. Stewart Robertson III, 41, passed away unexpectedly on Friday, June 18, 2010, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA. Born in Niskayuna, NY, on May 31, 1969, he was the son of Harold S. “Skip” Robertson of Galway, NY, and Barbara Robertson of New Lebanon, NY.
Stewart was a 1987 graduate of New Lebanon Central High School and attended both Hudson Valley Community College and Adirondack Community College. In 1997, he married the former Marsha Moreau. He was employed by the U.S. Post Office in Great Barrington, MA, for 15 years and was most recently owner/operator of Ultimate Lawn Care and Landscaping of New Lebanon. Stewart enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping with his family and had a deep love and appreciation for art, which included his landscaping work.
In additions to his parents and his wife, he leaves two daughters, Taylor Lynn and Riley Paige Robertson of New Lebanon, his sister, Melissa Coon and her husband Travis of Colonie, NY, his maternal grandmother, Dorothy Sanford of New Lebanon, his paternal grandmother, Hattie Robertson of Nassau, NY, his step-mother, Deborah Robertson, and his step-sister, Brandi Slezak and her husband Andrew of Florida, along with many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and many friends.
Funeral services are on Friday, June 25, at 10 am in the New Lebanon Congregational Church, Routes 20 & 22 in New Lebanon. Interment will follow in the Cemetery of the Evergreens in New Lebanon.
Relatives and friends were invited to visitation at the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown, NY, on Thursday from 4 to 7 pm.
To remember Stewart in a special way, memorial contributions are being accepted for Stewart’s young daughters in care of Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, P.O. Box 9, Stephentown, NY, 12168.
