HFCS Sports Awards

The Hoosick Falls Fire House meeting room was filled to capacity Wednesday evening, June 16, for the Hoosick Falls Central School Sports Awards dinner. The year yielded many successes for the various teams. According to the school’s sports websites, baseball, basketball, field hockey, football, girls soccer and softball teams were all WASAREN League Champions or co-champions. Baseball, basketball, bowling, boys soccer, field hockey, football, girls soccer and softball teams all made it to Sectionals. Field Hockey, football and softball teams became Regional champs. Field Hockey and football teams were NYS Semifinalists and the softball team was NYS Runner-up. The field hockey team was a Scholar Athlete Team and in basketball, Kevin McMahon scored more than 1,000 points during his career and Mike Lilac celebrated his 200th victory as Basketball Coach during the season.
