You don’t have to play golf to stop by the Ken Baker Memorial Golf Tournament this Saturday, June 12, at the Hoosick Falls Country Club. In addition to the golf scramble, a number of wonderful items will be available for bidding in both a Chinese and live auction. The Chinese auction will be open from 8 am to 5:30 pm with a number of baskets and other items including men’s and women’s Under Armour apparel, 15 cases of Vitamin and Smart Water, a 19″ flat screen television and an overnight stay at the Gideon Putnam Hotel, just to name a few. The live auction will take place promptly following tournament play at approximately 5:30 pm and will be led by Vicki Wysocki. Live auction items include a one-week stay at the World Golf Hall of Fame at World Golf Village in St. Augustine, FL, a Ken Baker Memorial Golf Tournament golf bag, an autographed Elton Brand (Philadelphia 76ers) jersey, an autographed Dwight Howard (Orlando Magic) jersey and more! Tickets are also still available for the television raffle that features a 50″ Samsung plasma HD television. Tickets are $10 each and will be drawn following the tournament. For questions regarding the golf scramble or the raffles, contact Mike Baratto, Tournament Chair, at 518-686-5916.
All proceeds from the golf tournament and raffles benefit the Coach Ken Baker Memorial Scholarship Fund. The purpose of the fund is to ensure that the legacy of Coach Ken Baker lives on through the awarding of scholarships to deserving graduating seniors from both Hoosick Falls Central and Cambridge Central High Schools.
