Friday Nights At The Hoosick Area Youth Center

The Hoosick Area Youth Center & Community Coalition (HAYC3) is pleased to announce a series of Friday night events being offered to area youth this summer. All events are free to attend and are open to members and non-members of HAYC3. Events will take place at the Youth Center, 115 Church Street, Hoosick Falls, on Fridays, July 9 through August 13.
Elementary School Schedule
Students in elementary school (grades k-6) are welcome to come to the Center for movies, snacks and fun from 6 to 8 pm. All elementary school children must be picked up by an adult at 8 pm.
The summer schedule will be as follows:
• July 9 – “Alice in Wonderland” (Tim Burton version) – Heart cookies for snack.
• July 16 – Goonies. Popcorn and a free raffle for a Goonies T-shirt.
• July 23 (extended hours) – “Star Wars” (original trilogy, episodes 4-6) – shown from 6 pm to 12 am – frozen light sabers for snack.
• July 30 – “ET the Extraterrestrial” and Reese’s Pieces snacks.
• August 6 – “The Princess Bride” and free glow sticks – popcorn for snack.
• August 13 – “Horton Hears a Who” with peanut snacks.
High School Schedule
Students in grades 7 to 12 are welcome on Fridays from 8 pm to midnight. The following schedule will apply:
• July 9 – “The Blob and Godzilla” – retro-root beer floats for snack.
• July 16 – Adam Sandler Film Fest – popcorn for snack.
• July 23 (extended hours) – “Star Wars” (original trilogy, episodes 4-6) – shown from 6 pm to 12 am – frozen light sabers for snack.
• July 30 – Zombie Movie Night and pancakes for snack.
• August 6 – Brennan McGuire performance.
• August 13 – “Dodge Ball” (the movie) and then glow-in-the-dark dodge ball.
