Grafton Lakes State Park Swing Concert

July 23, 2010 By eastwickpress

Grafton Lakes State Park continues its third annual Music in the Park Concert Series on Sunday, August 1, with a big band concert provided by All Them Chops.  The show is free to the public and will run from 5:30 to 7:30 pm by the beach.
Spend a mid-summer evening dancing and reminiscing to the big band music of All Them Chops.   Summertime is swing-time!  As a community band, All Them Chops enjoys spreading the sounds of old classics like “Mack the Knife,” “Blue Moon,” “Someone to Watch Over Me” and many other favorites.  Playing new styles and arrangements of big band music is another priority, but the band’s top goal is to have fun!  So bring your dancin’ shoes and swing along!
Patrons are invited to come into the park at 5 pm to picnic before the show.  Friends of Grafton Lakes State Park is co-sponsoring the Music in the Park Concert Series.
For more information about this and the park’s many summer programs, please call 279-1155 or check the website at www.nysparks.com/parks.
