The New Lebanon Library announces the following July events:
Friday, July 9 – 6 to 7:45 pm – Coffeehouse Night – An evening of music with singer/songwriter Linda Worster. Light refreshments will be provided.
Wednesday, July 14 – 2 to 4 pm – Summer Reading Program Kick-Off Party. Shatford Park is the site for the Library’s summer reading program kick off party featuring the wonderful Dazzle Dogs! See the pups dance, fly over and through agility obstacles and perform stunts. Ice cream social to follow.
Thursday, July 15 – 7 to 9 pm – Author Reading. Authors Jana Laiz and Ann-Elizabeth Barnes and illustrator Jacqueline Rogers read from and discuss their book A Free Woman On God’s Earth: The True Story of Elizabeth Mumbet Freeman, The Slave Who Won Her Freedom. Q&A to follow with light refreshments.
Friday, July 16 – 7 to 10 pm – Teen Movie Night.
Friday, July 23 – 6:30 to 8:30 pm – Family Movie Night – A teenager discovers he’s the descendant of a Greek god and sets out on an adventure to settle an on-going battle between the gods. Rated PG for action violence and peril, some scary images and suggestive material and mild language.
Friday, July 30 – 7 to 9 pm – Traditional American Folk Music & Dance. This award-winning Atwater-Donnelly duo perform traditional American and Celtic folk music and dance, along with original songs and poetry. The husband-wife duo blends vocals with an array of instruments including the mountain dulcimer, old-time banjo, tin whistle, guitar, limberjack, mandolin, harmonica, feet and more.

The Library is located at 550 State Route 20, ¼ mile north of the yellow blinking light at the intersection of Routes 20/22. All these events take place at the Library except the Summer Reading Kick-Off that takes place at Shatford Park.
