On July 17 the Pioneer Fish & Game Club began releasing pheasants around the Town of Hoosick. The club received the birds as one-day old chicks about eight weeks ago. Members of the club shared the job of husbandry while rearing the birds. The PF&GC has raised 200+ birds a year for over 30 years. Any time a Ring Neck Pheasant is spotted in this area it is likely a result of the PF&GC’s ongoing program.
