
The Theatre Company at Hubbard Hall (TCHH) has announced dates and locations for its upcoming summer tour of The Taming of the Shrew, Shakespeare’s definitive comedic take on the battle of the sexes. Public performances will be given at area parks and historic venues, July 17 through July 25. All performances begin at 7 pm and are free.
Brian Foley will direct a cast led by Michael Broadhurst and Rocky Freidman Vargas as Petruchio and Katherine, Shakespeare’s classic romantic protagonists.
Area performances of The Taming of the Shrew will be given at the Park McCullough House (North Bennington, VT) on Saturday, July 17, at the Greenwich Commons (Greenwich, NY) on Tuesday, July 20, at Hildene (Manchester, VT) on Thursday, July 22, at Salem Arts Works (Salem, NY) on Friday, July 23, at Wood Memorial Park, (Hoosick Falls, NY) on Saturday, July 24, and at the Cambridge Guest House (Cambridge, NY) on Sunday, July 25. The rain location for the Cambridge performance is Hubbard Hall.
Patrons are encouraged to bring lawn chairs, blankets and picnics to this ideal midsummer, family entertainment tradition.
