Anne B. Greene

Hoosick Falls – Anne B. Greene, 90, passed away on Sunday, August 15, 2010, at the Centers for Living and Rehabilitation in Bennington, VT. She had formerly resided at the Danforth Adult Home in Hoosick Falls, New York.
Born on February 7, 1920, in New York City, Anne was the daughter of the late Adolph and Anna (Bednarek) Beck. She graduated from Hoosick Falls High School. Later in her life Anne attended the Mary McClellan Hospital School of Nursing in Cambridge, NY. She then worked at the Mary McClellan Hospital in the operating room until retiring in 1982.
Anne enjoyed gardening and working with flowers.
Survivors include her daughter, Gail Dobert of Sand Lake, NY, her sons, John and wife Kathleen Greene of Eagle Bridge, NY and Gene Greene of Connecticut, nine grandchildren, Forrest, Richard, Steven, Kevin, Gene, Keith and Susan Greene, Donicka La Varnway and Laurel Watson. She is also survived by seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews. Anne is pre-deceased by two brothers, Rudolph and William Beck, a grandson, David Greene, and a son-in-law, Ralph Dobert.
Funeral services were Wednesday, August 18, at 10 am from the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the service at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. Relatives and friends called at the funeral home on Wednesday from 9 am until the start of the service.
