The Friends of the Berlin Library have begun planning for their August fund raiser, the Annual Book and Bake on Saturday, August 21, from 9 am to 1 pm. This year they are including a boutique which features quality items for sale – collectibles, china, antiques, etc. They are now accepting books (no encyclopedias or musty books) and items for the boutique (no electronics please) at the Library. For further information call Sylvia at 658-3734.
On Friday, August 20, there will be a preview party with wine and hors d’oeuvres from 5 to 7 pm. Tickets cost $15 (Friends pay $12). There will be live music. At this event you can get first pick of the books and boutique items. Tickets are on sale at the Library.
The raffle for the beautiful cherry chest of drawers crafted by David Theriault began on July 5 and continues until the Book, Bake and Boutique on August 21. Raffle tickets are for sale in the Library.
