San Damiano Family Support Services has announced that it will hold a Summer Family Fair in Hoosick Falls on Thursday, Friday and Saturday, August 26-28. It will be held at the Town of Hoosick athletic field. Admission is free.
There will be rides, concession stands, food and vendors and a three day encampment by the Boy Scouts to celebrate 100 years of Scouting.
The Champagne Jam Country & Western Band will play Thursday and Friday evenings at 7 pm. There will be belly dancing performances Friday and Saturday nights. The Wild Country Cloggers will dance Friday and Saturday, and a Texas Hold’em game will be held on Saturday night at 7 pm. There will be a Friday night car cruise and a car show on Saturday.
The event is sponsored by Taconic, Sternberg & Gorman, Price Chopper, C. H. McNally & Sons and Dewey’s Auto Repair. Proceeds from the Fair go to San Damiano, which is a charitable organization providing services to needy families in our area, including a food pantry and loans of medical equipment.
