Sunday, August 15 – Botanical Drawing with local artist Nancy McGrath. Call for a supplies list and to pre-register, 279-1155. Meet at the Shaver Nature Center. The cost is $12 per adult.
Saturday, August 21 – Grazers and Browsers of North America from 1 to 3 pm. Touch and explore display offered above Long Pond Beach. Meet the woodchuck!
Sunday, August 29 – Final edition of our Wilderness Survival Series: Lost in the Woods at 1 pm. Bring your kids to this important safety training.
Wednesday, September 1 – Registration opens for Art in the Park. Grafton Lakes State Park invites artists to the Park on Sundays September 19 to October 10 to do artistic impressions of park landscapes and wildlife. Registrants donate a piece for the Art Auction and Exhibit during Winter Festival. Call the Park Naturalist for more information – 279-1155.
Monday, September 6 – Labor Day Sand Sculpture Contest. Registration at 12 pm at Long Pond. All participants receive a prize. Open to all ages.
