Alfreda R. Donnelly

Lebanon Springs – Alfreda Reynolds Donnelly, 91, of Route 22, Lebanon Springs, NY, died on Thursday, September 16, 2010, at Berkshire Medical Center in Pittsfield, MA.
Born in Troy, NY, on September 19, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Alfred W. and Matilda Snell Reynolds. She was the loving wife of the late Richard L. Donnelly, who died on May 5, 2002, and the late George Overlock, who was killed during World War II. She was a graduate of Berlin Central High School and Mildred Elley Business School. Mrs. Donnelly worked for a few years at General Electric in Pittsfield as an executive secretary. She and her late husband were the owner/operators of the Springs Market and Liquor Store in Lebanon Springs for over 40 years. She loved flowers and all children. She is pre-deceased by her two husbands, a daughter, Patricia Ann Donnelly who died at age 13, a niece, Kathy Maddox, and her siblings, Silas E. Reynolds, Laura Hanke and Robert W. Reynolds.
Survivors include her children, Richard L. Donnelly Jr. and John F. Donnelly, both of Lebanon Springs, and Teresa M. Keith of Austerlitz, NY, her grandchildren, Billy Winters, Jamie Winters and Danielle DesJardins, along with a niece, Mary Anderson of Wildwood, FL.
Funeral services were held on Tuesday afternoon, September 21, at 3 pm in the Hall & Higgins Funeral Home, 457 NY 43, Stephentown, NY, where Rev. Bonnie Bates officiated. After cremation, private burial will take place in the Cemetery of the Evergreens.
Relatives and friends were invited to the funeral home on Tuesday from 1 to 3 pm for visitation. Memorial contributions may be made to the Lebanon Valley Protective Association in care of the funeral home, P.O. Box 9, Stephentown, NY, 12168.
