Stephentown Library Director Laurenne Teachout (center right) accepts the congratulations of a good crowd of well wishers who gathered in her honor at a reception on Sunday afternoon. Teachout recently received her Master’s degree in Library Science and was awarded a Public Librarian’s Professional Certificate from the University of the State of New York. Here Library Board President Sue Cass speaks her praises, noting that, “The Stephentown Library has come alive. People see it now as the center of the community,” a fact which she largely ascribed to Teachout’s work over the past ten years, for the past five of which she has been Library Director.
