Petersburgh Square Dancing

The Petersburgh Sunshine Seniors are pleased to announce that they will be bringing square dancing back to Petersburgh.  Square dancing had been a tradition in the Memorial Hall for many years. Now, thanks to Floyd Smith and his friends, the opportunity to revive this American tradition in Petersburgh has returned. The dance will be held Saturday, October 16, at 7 pm.
The caller will teach moves, so experience is not  necessary.

Mason Hubbard swings his partner, Mary Welsh, as Pearl Koch waits her turn. Pearl had open heart surgery with five vessel bypass only three weeks before. Mason, who had bypass surgery two years ago, told Pearl he would show her his scar if she would show him hers. She, being the fine Christian woman she is, demurely refused.
