There was something for everyone at the Community Tag Sale on Saturday, August 28, bikes, telescopes, old tools, household gadgets and bric-a-brac of all sorts. The wonderful weather brought out a horde of early shoppers and pickers to Gardner’s Field in Stephentown.
Pat Flint, President of the Historical Society, the sponsor of the annual event, pronounced the Tag Sale very successful. “We had great weather, cheerful shoppers and a wonderful camaraderie among the Society volunteers and the other vendors. A lot more volunteers this year made the load lighter and their cooperation is very much appreciated, as is the leadership of Bev McClave and Libby Kogan in coordinating the event. And thanks to Neil Gardner for making his field available.”
Flint wished to remind people that the next big event is the Giffy’s Chicken Bar-B-Q with Eckhardt’s corn and homemade desserts to be held from noon to 2 pm at the Stephentown Fireman’s Muster on Sunday, September 29. Tickets are $10 available at Madden’s Garage, the Stephentown Library and the Berry Patch. Advance purchase is highly recommended.
