Tyler Joseph Marcoux

Hoosick Falls – Tyler Joseph Marcoux, 16, passed away on Wednesday, August 25, 2010, at his residence on Classic Street in Hoosick Falls, NY. He had resided there with his parents, William E. and Jennifer J. (Guerin) Marcoux Jr., and his brother, Robert Michael James Marcoux.
Tyler was born on August 5, 1994, in Cambridge, NY. He would have been a junior at Hoosick Falls Central School this year. Tyler enjoyed riding BMX bikes, reading Calvin Hobbes comic books and playing video games. He was an accomplished artist and loved to draw. He studied martial arts at the Griffis Martial Arts Studio in Bennington, VT, where he was a member of the N.E.A. team. Tyler most enjoyed the time he spent with family and friends.
Survivors other than his parents, William and Jennifer, and brother, Robert, include his grandparents, William E. and Robin Marcoux Sr. of Hoosick Falls and Leo and Deborah Guerin of Babcock Lake, Grafton, NY, his great-grandparents, David and Alice Towne of Babcock Lake, his uncles, Joe and Casey Marcoux of Hoosick Falls and Michael and Michelle Guerin of North Hoosick, NY. Tyler is also survived by several great-aunts, great-uncles and cousins.
A Mass of Christian Burial was offered on Monday, August 30, at 10 am from the Immaculate Conception Church on Main Street in Hoosick Falls. Burial followed the Mass at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Hoosick Falls. A reception followed the Committal Services in the downstairs reception hall of the Church.
Relatives and friends called at the Mahar Funeral Home, 43 Main Street in Hoosick Falls, on Sunday from 5 to 8 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to the Art Department at H.F.C.S. through the funeral home.
