“Words from the Hills,” a monthly event at the Stephentown Library for those who share a love of finely crafted words, will be Sunday, September 12, at 3 pm. It is a roundtable for sharing poetry, short stories and narratives.
Both writers and readers are invited to participate, sharing their writings or perhaps reading from another author’s book, poem, short story or even something they may have found on the internet. The source is not important; sharing words which are meaningful or entertaining is.
There will be no performances, but you might hear a dramatic reading if someone is prepared to give one. There is no need to memorize and recite, although you may if you wish. Mostly we will just go around the table – each person reading a work they have brought until we exhaust the hour or our supply.
“Words from the Hills” will be held on the second Sunday of each month. Listeners are welcome. Light refreshments will be available. For more information call 518-733-5675.
The Stephentown Memorial Library is located on Main Street and is handicapped accessible.
